Editorial principles

Primary sources first: NASA GSFC for eclipse geometry and NASA Science for eye-safety guidance.
No fake precision: nearby centerline rows are labeled as benchmarks, not exact local circumstances.
Weather separated by horizon: climatology is for long-range region choice; live forecast is for near-event decisions.
Commercial separation: advertising and affiliate relationships cannot buy planner ranking.
Safety over optimization: the site never recommends unsafe driving, trespass, restricted access or ignoring official advice.

How AI may be used

AI may assist drafting, structure, consistency checks or summarization. Factual claims intended to drive the planner are tied to cited sources or transparent editorial methodology. AI output is not treated as an authoritative scientific source.

Pages show a review date in the footer. Short-range weather, when active, comes from an external forecast feed and includes its own freshness timestamp.
